Trying to understand password generation

If you have 1P generate a unique password, how does the website recognize the new password?

Hi @toyman,

When you generate a new password in 1Password, copy it and paste it into the "sign up" (or "change password") page on the web site. We are looking at improving this process in the future to make it a little more automatic but for now, you need to tell the website your new password by copying and pasting. After you do that and save the new password on the web site, it will auto-fill it on subsequent login attempts.

When I copy the password, do I copy the dots that show up in 1P ?
