Pin code "incorrect" after upgrading to iPhone 6

I purchased this app a few months ago when I had my iPhone 5. I recently upgraded to the iPhone 6 plus in December, and since then, not only does the app run slow, but also my Pin code is "incorrect" and then I'm forced to enter my Master Password. How do I fix or change this?

You can go to Settings > Security and turn off the PIN code option. When you turn it back on, you'll be prompted to enter a new one. (Setting are found by tapping the gear icon at the bottom of the screen.)

I've tried that, but there is no option to turn off the PIN code. I have 1Password version 5.2. When I go into the Security settings, my options are "Lock Now", "Lock on Exit" (switch is activated), "Auto-Lock" (and choice of time frames), "Touch ID" (switch is deactivated), "Change Master Password", and "Clear Clipboard".

And actually, I just noticed a change from this morning to last night. Last night, the text under the "Touch ID" option used to say that I would need to enter my PIN every time I leave my app or after X min of being unused, but this morning it now says that my Master Password will be required. So now I don't even see anything that has to do with my PIN and I prefer having the PIN code to my touch ID... help?

I'm not aware that a PIN is even an option for devices with Touch ID. My iPad Air (not 2) has options to use a PIN, but my iPhone 6, with Touch ID activated, does not.

ah, that must be the issue then. It really wasn't until this morning that the app stopped prompting me to enter my PIN. That's too bad, I like having the PIN option over the Touch ID for this app. Oh well, thanks for your help and clarification!

  • Hi @ecfc3,

I will add your request as a vote for allowing PIN codes on Touch ID devices.
