No 1password icon in Firefox on Mac with OS X 10.10.2

I am new with 1password.

I am running Firefox 35.0.1 with 1Password plugin 4.2.5 on a Mac Powerbook with OS X 10.10.2.

I can't see the 1Password "Keyhole Icon" in the Firefox toolbar.

I have allready tried the following to solve this:

  • Deinstall the plugin, restart Firefox an then reinstall it - nothing.
  • Deactivating the plugin Al-in-One Sidebar and looking for the Icon 1password to install: but i saw no Icon to customize the toolbar...

I am able to right-click on the page and access 1password from the popup-menu (at the bottom...) but I would really like to have the icon in the menuebar for direct access.

Please help.

Thanks!

I don't use the FF icon because I always just use the ⌥⌘\ shortcut to open 1P mini. However, if you click the hamburger-like icon at the right hand end of the FF toolbar and choose Customise is the 1P icon shown among those you can add?

    Hi @strabo,

In Firefox, if you go to View > Toolbars > Customize... do you see anything like this? This is what my Firefox looks like if I use the Restore Defaults button. I've highlighted where you should see the 1Password icon if it isn't in your toolbar already.

This is what it looks like after I've dragged the icon to my toolbar. Again, I've highlighted the 1Password browser extension icon.

If you're not seeing this and yet you are able to fill using the keyboard shortcuts then something is messed up in your Firefox profile. You could only fill if the extension was installed and working. If that's the case let us know as we may have to consider reseting your profile.

Thank you very much for your help!

As it looks like my Firefox profile is messed up...

Because I can't see the 1password Icon in the additional tools and features window (and it ist definitly not
    allready in the tool bar).
Even when I set my tool settings back to Default I cant see the Icon...

But with control-klick I can reach 1password in the pop up menue...

    Further advice?

    Hello everybody

As said - or: hinted - by littlebobbytables I just reset my Profile in Firefox and reinstalled all the Add-ons etc. from my old Ff-profile.
And now the 1Password Icon shows in the toolbar!

    Problem solved!

    Hi @strabo,

Sorry we didn't manage to get back to in between your last two posts. Obviously it's great to hear that starting with a fresh profile resolved the issue and I hope you didn't have too much to import to get up and running again.

As this seems to be resolved I'm going to close this thread but if you have any questions or issues in the future don't hesitate to post!
