Syncing - IMac-MacBook-and IOS Devices

I have been using 1Password on my iMac for about 2 years. I just started syncing via WiFi to my iPhone. I also just purchased a MacBook Pro and would like to sync to that also. All devises are running the current Apple OS and all have the current version (5.1) of 1Password purchased from Mac App Store.

When I installed 1Password on the MacBook it asked new user or used 1Password before. I selected used before, and it asks where the data is and I chose Another device (It's on the IMac). This brings up a button the says More Information. That's pretty much a deadend as it only refers to iOS devices. Can this sync between the Macs be accomplished?

WiFi sync doesn't work between Macs. Some people use an iOS device as a bridge between multiple Macs, but that requires more attention and coordination. I'm not an expert on this, so someone who is will likely come along with some additional advice.

I use Dropbox for my syncing, and that would work for your combination too. But I assume you don't want a cloud-based solution.

Thanks for the input. I would prefer no to use the cloud but am not totally opposed. I already use iCloud.
