Family License - Windows
Some time ago, I purchased a family license and my wife and I have been very happy users of 1Password on our Macs. Now my son has defected to using a Microsoft Windows laptop and I would like to set him up with your excellent software. Does my family license allow me to install a copy of 1Password for Windows on his computer? I bought a family 5 pack and so far have only used 2 of those installations.

Licenses are sold separately by platform, but there is a bundle price for Mac and Windows, which you'll be able to obtain by upgrading your Mac license.
Separately, the family license was discontinued with the release of 1Password 5 for Mac. Now, a single user license covers up to six family members in the same household.

I purchased a family license for the Mac platform sometime ago. Last month, I was charged full fee when I downloaded 1Password 5 on my wife's MacBook Pro using my Apple ID credential. Apple has refunded the amount but I would like to understand why the charge, thanks.

Your family license came from AgileBits. You downloaded your wife's copy from Apple. There is no way to connect your prior purchase from AgileBits to Apple; it isn't known by Apple, and Apple provides no information to AgileBits about who purchases from them. So your experience is what is to be expected. That's unfortunate, but that's how Apple works.

I'm happy hawkmoth was able to help clear up the confusion about that! You've probably already figured this out by now, but to use your license on your wife's Mac, she can download 1Password 5 for Mac from our download site, then activate it with your license file.
