1Password Icon Missing Firefox (FF 36.0.1, 1Password Extension 4.2.5)

The 1Password icon is missing from Firefox Mac for me. I cannot find it when customizing my toolbar or see it anywhere. I do get the popup to ask if I want to save a new password but I can't select it to fill out forms.

My system:
Mac OS X 10.10.2
Firefox 36.0.1
1Password Extension 4.2.5
1Password 5.1

I uninstalled the extension and then re-installed it with no luck.

That is odd because when I go to customise my FF 36.0.1 toolbar (I don't keep the 1P icon on the toolbar normally) I can see the 1P icon among the options to add.

Someone else had a similar problem recently and I believe it turned out to be a problem with the FF profile. It might be worth just setting up a new profile and seeing if you can add the icon using that profile.

I did "Refresh Firefox" from the troubleshooting page in the Firefox help. After doing that I had to re-install the extension and now it works. Seems like it was a profile issue.

    Hi @yippy3000,

Thanks for letting us know! I'm happy to hear @Stephen_C's suggestion solved the problem, and that the 1Password extension is working now. I agree, it certainly sounds like it was a profile issue in Firefox.

If you need anything else, just let us know and we'll be happy to help! :)
