Hello,

I have two questions. The first one is: What is a smart folder? What it's duty and how is it different than a regular folder?

Second question: I have my account. I want to add a folder of all my sons information on to my vault. When I enter in the information it won't let me double click and bring up the website page. Why is it doing this?

    A smart folder is basically a saved search. That doesn't sound very exciting of itself but can in fact be very useful. For example, on my Mac in 1P I have smart folders that show at a glance:

    1. any item I've forgotten to tag;
    2. any item I've changed within the past few months.

    If you create a search in the Mac version you have an option to save the results as a smart folder (so that anything that matches the search criteria is automatically added to the folder in future).

    However, you've asked the question on the 1P for iOS forum so I assume you're referring to an iOS device and smart folders are not currently supported by 1P for iOS (as opposed to by 1P for Mac).

    As to your second question, take a look at this knowledge base article about creating multiple vaults, which might cover the sort of thing you need. However, again note they must be created on the Mac and sync'd to the iOS device. You can't currently create multiple vaults using 1P for iOS.

  • Hi @sgermano,

    Stephen_C's response is the best recommendation. Thanks for the help, Stephen!

    Note, that once you create the second vault and sync it, you can then switch between them on iOS, so if you want to add something of your son's while away from your Mac, switch to the "Son" vault, add the item, and then you can switch back to your primary vault. You can switch active vaults in Settings > Vaults.
