iTunes backup

I have the exact same question because the only backup I have is my iPhone backup using iTunes. I purchased a new iPhone yesterday exact same phone same version. I had successfully completed a full backup an hour before the purchase. When I restored form iTunes I noticed that 1Password was not restored. All of my other apps, photos, settings restored perfectly, just no 1Password. How can I restore 1Password from my Mac?

Hi folks,
Please see this guide on backing up and restoring 1Password for iOS data using iTunes:
https://guides.agilebits.com/1password-ios/5/en/topic/itunes-backups
If you generate a backup in 1Password and then sync with iTunes, that backup is then also stored on your computer.
Thanks!

Thanx Ben, it is sounding like I have lost the ability to restore my data. I have no manual backup, all I have is an iTunes backup. I had read those instructions but there are none for the restore side of the equation. The first paragraph in the link states that the data should be there in the iTunes backup. It appears that I have no way to restore the data from a standard iTunes only backup is that correct?
If you sync your iOS device with iTunes, your 1Password data is automatically backed up to your computer. Likewise, when you backup your iOS device using iCloud, a copy of your 1Password data is kept with the backup.

Unfortunately I think that text is misleading.
If you make a 1Password backup, yes, it is automatically synced with iTunes when you sync. But it requires first making a backup. I've filed a bug for our docs team to look into the wording on that.
My understanding is that standard iTunes backups do not back up 1Password's data, just the app itself.
