Currently I use the drop box in order to synch my vault.
Is it possible to switch to the synch mode 'synch using local storage'? How?

  • Hey @GrHse. Thanks for getting in touch with us! :)

There's currently no way to switch sync methods from within the app. 1Password 4 for Android allows you to select your data folder from any path, but once you have selected the path, it does not allow you to change it without resetting the application. So if you decide to move your 1Password data folder to a different location after setting up 1Password for Android, you will need to reset all of 1Password's settings to set the new data location. This is the only way to set the new path at the moment.

If this is your current situation, and you are interested in selecting the new location in 1Password, here's what you will need to do. This will remove all of your data on your Android device, so please make sure to sync to Dropbox first.

    • Go into your device Settings > Apps > 1Password and tap "Clear data"

Then with a Mac or a PC, you can manually copy the .agilekeychain folder via USB onto your device's storage from Dropbox.

    • Connect your Android to your Mac with a USB cable
    • Copy the .agilekeychain entirely into your Android's local storage
    • Open 1Password on your Android and choose I've used 1Password before
    • Choose Sync using local storage and locate the .agilekeychain you transferred
    • Log in with your Master Password.

I hope this helps! Let us know if you have any other questions. :)
