Installing/Upgrading 1Password compatible with iOS 6.1.6

Good day

I have an iPhone 3GS with 1Password 3.5.1 (English).
I want to upgrade to 1Password 4.3.2 (German).

The update on the iTunes App Store offers me only upgrade to 1Password 5.x.
However, this is not compatible with my iPhone 3GS.

When I go on the iPhone 3GS for updates, I have no option to upgrade to version 4.3.2.

Question:
How can I install version 4.3.2 of 1Password (German) on my iPhone 3GS without risking losing my data from the installed 1Password 3.5.1?

Hi @rkuhn,

I cannot make any guarantees this will work given you're running iOS 6 but it's worth a shot.

Download 1Password 5 for iOS in iTunes on your Mac. Yes, I know you cannot install it - that's okay.

Now go to the App Store on your iOS device and then go to Updates > Purchased. You will hopefully see 1Password for iOS in your purchase history. Attempt to download it. If you are lucky it will say you cannot run 1Password 5 for iOS and would you like to download the last version you can run. Say yes and let it download.

If it doesn't offer to download an older version that I'm afraid there is nothing we can do.

If you do manage to download 1Password 4 for iOS please stop at this point DO NOT LAUNCH IT. I assume you want to import the vault from 1Password for iPhone 3.5.1. To do this we will need to have you follow a large number of steps but there isn't any point unless we know you can download 1Password 4 for iOS first.

So please tell us how downloading 1Password 4 goes and we will work with you to migrate you if needed.
