Do you use 2FA if you don't have to?

I'm curious if people are using 2FA if you don't have to.

For example, if you are using a strong password as generated by 1Password. Is there any need in using 2FA? I could see more use if you are using a weaker password (so that you can remember) and want the convenience of that or you often login to the account on an unsecure machine and want to make sure no key loggers could get into your account. But outside of this. Is there any point?

Thanks,

Dave

There are arguments on both sides here, and I don't think there is any single conclusion. It depends on your usage, etc. Personally I do have two step authentication enabled for some services that I am not required to have it on. Note that if you use 1Password to store your password and your OTP you do not technically have "two factors," but rather "two steps."
