Frames and login forms
I have a 1Password working on windows with FireFox, IE, Chrome and Safari... all works great. Sync this to my iPhone and all typically works barring login to a web banking site.. 1Password just won't fill the fields.
The problematic site does use frames. I dug up the following article from 2013 which if I read it correctly, IOS does not support frames?
Works on windows and not IOS?!?! Tell me it isn't so. Thanks in advance....

Hi @cybermike,
Frankly I'm not entirely sure if that is still the case or not, but if you'd be willing to share the URL to the login page with me I can certainly give it a whirl and see if I can make a Login for it that 1Password for iOS can fill.
Most sites gave up on using frames a long time ago.
Please let me know.

Thanks Ben,
Apparently and my luck, one of the few that did not.
www.onlinebanking.pnc.com
I did some testing on my wifes phone as well. 1Browser did not like the site and failed to automatically create a login... really confused 1Browser - sometimes when I would type it would not populate/fill in the text box. As a last ditch effort, I manually created the entry and it still failed.
Perhaps you'll find/see something to address it. I appreciate the assist.
P.S. 1Password 5.2.1 running on iPhone6 (IOS 8.1.1 and 8.1.2)

Yikes. They do a number of things that make it very difficult for a password manager to work with them. What I did to get it working, at least as far as I could go, was to manually save a login from my Mac:
https://guides.agilebits.com/1password-mac-kb/4/en/topic/save-login-manually-mac
(we also have instructions for Windows: https://guides.agilebits.com/1password-windows-kb/4/en/topic/save-login-manually-win )
This login then worked for me in 1Browser, at least on the username page. I couldn't get further than that, not having an account with them.
Hope that helps.

Hmmm... Can't get 1browser to work at all with it... No worries there. However, dont you find it odd that all works with safari on windows (along with ff, ie, and chrome) and NOT a with safari on IOS?
Can you elaborate on what some of the difficulties are? Irregardless of the site complexities, can we not strive/expect similar functionality cross platforms? Is it a limitation of 1password or safari or IOS?
Thanks

Even following the instructions I used to get it to work in 1Browser for me?

I don't, no. iOS is a mobile operating system. OS X and Windows are desktop operating systems. There are different sets of tools available. They are different animals.

One such difficulty is that they use a multi-page login process.
Most logins are processed through a single page.Irregardless of the site complexities, can we not strive/expect similar functionality cross platforms?
That is certainly a goal of ours. Unfortunately due to software development cycles it is unlikely all of the products would ever completely sync up, but we are trying to minimize the differences between them, without losing the native feeling each platform offers.
Is it a limitation of 1password or safari or IOS?
I don't have a good answer here.
Hopefully as our filling algorithms continue to evolve and Safari and iOS also continue to evolve, we can improve this situation. It'd also be great if PNC updated their website, but I won't hold my breath on that one.

Thanks for the response. Attempting a competitors passwd product, they too have very similar issues with this site so far... Suggests it is IOS related to me.
Respectfully disagree about login page vs pages... Many other financial institutions use multi page login and multifactor authentication. I wouldn't be surprised if there is an uptick in number of multi-step logins to come. Mobile world is still playing catchup :-(

Mobile world is still playing catchup
I think it is the banks that need to catch up on what actually helps security vs what is security theater. ;) But yes, I understand your point.

Certainly multi factor / multi step authentication is becoming more and more popular. Multi page login processes are still fairly uncommon though, except, as you mention, with banks and the like.
Thanks!
