Re-installed Mac (10.10.2) and now 1Password 5 won't work

I'm trying to sign in to 1Password 5 with Dropbox, but it won't accept my master password. 1Password is working on my other machines and devices, so that's not the issue. I've tried putting in the master password but get the message "Failed to unlock. Cannot load keychain profile." and I've also tried the 'click here to select a different option' option, but that made no difference. Dropbox is fully sync'd, so that's not the issue either.

Help??

    Hi @ianct,

I'm sorry you're having trouble re-syncing your vault from Dropbox after reinstalling Mac OS X 10.10.2! You might get that error if Dropbox has not yet copied the entire keychain file to your Mac. In that case, it should work correctly once Dropbox has had time to completely sync the keychain to the local Dropbox folder. Have you tried again to set up Dropbox sync in 1Password 5 since you originally posted your message? If you're still having the same problem, please open your local Dropbox folder on your Mac and find your .agilekeychain file. Does it have a green circle with a check-mark, or a blue circle with arrows?

    Hi Drew

Sorry for the slow reply - I didn't receive a reply that this topic was answered. No, I do understand Dropbox sync. The Dropbox was completely sync'd. I even completely disconnected the Mac from Dropbox and set up sync again. Same problem! My main studio Mac is now completely out of operation on the web because of this issue, so it's urgent I get it resolved. What else can I do?

    Hi @ianct,

The first thing that will be worth checking is to ensure 1Password is using the 1Password.agilekeychain you think it's using.

Do you see where it says click here to select a different option on the lock screen? If you click there you will get a small menu and one of the pieces of information it will tell you is if it is indeed looking at the correct .agilekeychain.

If it isn't, then pointing it to the correct one will hopefully take care of your issue.

If it is, can you verify something for us please. Can you see if you can access your vault using 1PasswordAnywhere.

If there is an issue with the .agilekeychain I would assume that won't work.

Assuming the issue is ongoing can you let us know what version of 1Password you're using elsewhere please. One possibility is to create a brand new .agilekeychain but it's always advisable to know what setup you have first before proceeding.

I've been through all the instructions and selected the correct .agilekeychain. No difference.

I can't get in with 1PasswordAnywhere. I go into Dropbox on the web, and when I click on 1Password.html it just goes to a blank screen. I've tried this on Firefox and Safari on two different Macs. Same result.

    I'm using 1Password 5.1.

    Thanks

    Hi @ianct,

I'd like to take a closer look at your system here.

I'd like to ask you to create a Diagnostics Report from your Mac:
    https://guides.agilebits.com/kb/1password4/en/topic/diagnostics-report#mac4

Then attach the entire file to an email to us: support+forum@agilebits.com

Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report in our inbox.

You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here so we can quickly track down the Report and ensure that it is dealt with quickly. :)

Once we see the report we should be able to better assist you. Thanks in advance!
