1P 5.2.1 not recognizing iCloud Vault
Hi,
I have the following problem
2 IMacs (OSX 10.10.2) both with 1P v4.4.3 and an IPad with 1P v4.5.3 all syncing against the same vault successfully using iCloud.
I also have an iPhone with 1P 5.2.1 Pro that is unable to sync to the same vault. I can create a new vault and sync to iCloud but then I have 2 separate vaults on my iCloud Drive.
Why can't the 5.2.1 version recognize the vault used by the 2 iMacs and iPad?

When Apple released Yosemite and iOS 8, the protocols for using iCloud to sync changed so that 1Password 4 and 5 cannot sync to each other anymore through iCloud. Your choices are to upgrade to Yosemite or use another sync method, such as Dropbox. You can read more about how this change affects 1Password in this post, at the top of this section of the forum.

Yep got it. Basically I inadvertantly upgraded my way out of a very clean iCloud sync. Major disappointment.
Is there a way to download version 4 for iOS?

Going back to 1P4 is not going to help you, I'm afraid, once you've upgraded your devices to iCloud Drive you can't go back. From the AgileBits iCloud FAQ:
What happens to devices which I haven’t updated to 1Password 5 and iCloud Drive?
Turning on iCloud Drive “converts” your entire account to the new system. If you update one device, any devices which have not been updated will no longer be able to use iCloud sync—even amongst each other. So it’s important to make sure your Macs and iOS devices are all up-to-date (or all out of date!) if you wish to sync them using iCloud.

Hi @Brianh526,
If you haven't upgraded to iCloud Drive yet then there is still the possibility. You will need to use iTunes though an sync both your iPad and your iPhone to it. You would also need to turn off automatic updating in iTunes and the iPhone as that would mess everything up.
What you're trying to do is sync the iPad and have iTunes download a copy of the 1Password 4.5.3.ipa that is stored on the iPad. If you can get that into iTunes then you have a shot. You would delete 1Password from the iPhone and then with your iPhone connected to iTunes, tell iTunes to install 1Password 4.5.3 to the iPhone.
It is possible, I use keep multiple versions of 1Password for iOS stored outside of iTunes in case I need it for troubleshooting purposes. Earlier today I unearthed a copy of 1Password 4.3.2 for iOS which felt like a blast from the past.
Please note though, there can be issues with adding iOS devices to iTunes regarding purchases and if you aren't careful and read what iTunes is asking you could end up telling iTunes to wipe the iOS device. As long as you're careful though you should be fine.
If you've upgraded to iCloud Drive though then I'm afraid you're out of luck. iCloud Drive caused a lot of issues when iOS 8 was first released as there was a period of time where iCloud syncing in general was completely knackered between Macs and iOS devices - there were a few unhappy people in Apple's forums.
Let us know how you get along
