Never display in browser
I have almost 1000 logins, and several of them do not show up in 1Password Mini or in my browser extensions. Don't know how many don't show up, but I've found several. I know that if I go to 1Password 5, choose one of the logins that doesn't show up, click Edit and change it's display option so it shows "Always" (instead of "Never Display in browser"), that solves the problem. That login would thereafter show up in 1P Mini and in the browser extensions.
My questions are, how do I
a) find out which ones are set to "Never display in browser", so I can fix them one at a time, or...
b) set all logins to display "Always" without laboriously doing it one by one?
c) some other brilliant solution?
Thanks!

You have not said what version of 1P you use. For the purpose of this answer I'm assuming it's either 1P4 or 1P5. You can find out which items are not set to display in your browser by doing this:
- Go to the main app and click on the search drop down and then on Show Search Options.
- Click on Title (or whatever appears in the field after Search All Items) to display another drop down. Choose Shown in Browser from that drop down.
- Change the field that says is to is not by clicking on it and choosing is not.
You can save that search as a smart folder if you wish so that you can immediately see in future any items that are set not to show in your browser.

Hi @RedskyatNight,
Stephen_C's answer is precisely what I was going to post so there's little I can add I'm afraid. Sadly no brilliant alternative^ but fingers crossed the number will be small. The default setting is Always for new items so it will hopefully just be a few that are afflicted.
^ I can imagine a way of doing this by exporting your vault and using regexp but while that should work unless you're looking at a large number of items needing reset I would have thought this would take longer than the manual method.
I'm reminded of a particular xkcd comic at this point.

Hi Stephen and littlebobbytables,
I'm using 1Password 5, and I'm pleased that there appears to be a way to do what I want, but when I change the search drop down, _Shown in Browser_is not one of my options.Suggestions?__
Thanks again,

Can you please tell us exactly what version of 1P5 you are using. Go to 1P5 > About 1Password and tell us exactly what it says there.

Hmm, I'm unsure with which version the additional search options appeared. I'm on 5.3.BETA-18 so they may well only have appeared during the 5.3 beta programme. Sorry to mislead! (There is no 5.2 for Mac—the versions went straight from 5.1 to the 5.3 betas.)

Thanks, Stephen. I guess I'll wait till that search option becomes a possibility.

Hi @RedskyatNight,
Sorry, there's been a little confusion here. The screenshot you posted shows the different ways in which you can alter the ordering of the visible items but it doesn't filter the list.
What you're after is our Search Options which you can access either using the keyboard shortcut
⌃⌥⌘F
or the drop down menu option Edit > Find > Show Search OptionsIt will bring up a new toolbar and will probably look a little like this:
You want to click on Title and change it to shown in browser like so:
and lastly change it to say Is not shown in browser (like so)
Let us know if you have any troubles

You were right. Thanks for that. It did exactly as I wished: it showed me the items not mirrored in 1P Mini or browser extensions. Thank you!
