annoyed with new pin code requirements in iOS 8

I find the required iOS pass code to use the 1Password pin code to be highly annoying.

I use to had no iOS pass code, and a 1Password pin code with a timeout time of one minute.

I find that to be amply secure sinecure since a single incorrect pin code entry requires my loooong master passcode. Please don't try to save us from ourselves. Please eliminate the requirement for the iOS passcode. if you want to, warn someone perfrusly if the try to set a 1Password pin code without a iOS passcode, even tell them how stupid it is to do that, if you so choose., but don't take away the flexibility that use to exist. I find that to be really annoying.

  • Hi @itechieguy,

Thanks for the feedback. The reason an iOS PIN is required for a 1Password PIN is that the iOS PIN protects the iOS keychain, where your Master Password has to be stored if using a PIN. Without an iOS PIN the iOS keychain is not adequately protected for storage of a Master Password.

We do appreciate the suggestion though, and I'll be happy to pass the feedback along to our development team.

    Ben
