I was able to install 1 Password browser extension without problem on Safari and Chrome using Mac OSX Yosemite (10.10.2), but am getting an error message when tying to install on the latest version of Firefox. This is the error message:
"The ad-on could not be downloaded because of a connection failure on agilebits.com"

I've not experienced that problem even though I use the same version of Firefox. However, another user did experience the same as you and posted his solution here.

Thanks Stephen. I tried your solution but it did not work. I also looked at the link you provided about another users solution but could not get the Safari version to open in Firefox. However, I have now found a way to get it to work, so thanks for the pointers.
Here is my solution (for Mac only) - please note: I made Firefox my default browser, you can always change that later if you wish:

    1. In Firefox go to the download page for the extension.
    2. Instead of clicking the "big green button" for downloading, instead hover over the alternative URL that is in the text.
    3. Right click and copy the URL address.
    4. Close Firefox.
    5. Open Safari or Chrome and paste the URL into the address bar.
    6. Download the 1 Password extension, (I downloaded to the Download folder).
    7. Close Safari and or Chrome.
    8. Re-open Firefox.
    9. From your download folder (if that is where you downloaded the extension from Safari or Chrome), click to open the install.
    10. You will now be prompted to install the extension.
    11. It will now install successfully.

    Hi @technoed,

It's very strange that you were having that problem when trying to install the 1Password extension in Firefox, but I'm happy to hear you found a workaround! It really shouldn't be that difficult, so if you run into the same or similar problem in the future, please do let us know and we'll try to figure out what's going on.

Thanks for the detailed steps of your solution! :)
