Can you wifi sync 1password iOS 3.7.2 with 1password mac 5.1?

I'm missing something...but I haven't been able to wifi sync 1password mac 5.1 (OS X 10.10.2) with 1password iOS 3.7.2 (iPhone 5 iOS 8.1.3). Is this possible? OR do I have to spend $7.99 on upgrading to 1password iOS 5.2.1?

    Hi @SZQ56,

    1Password 3 for iOS can only sync with 1Password 3 for Mac, and only via WiFi. Any other syncing would require a newer version of 1Password for iOS.

    Please note the base 1Password 5 for iOS product is free, but there is an in-app purchase to unlock Pro features if desired.

    Thank you for your help. Just want to make absolutely sure: Clarification: 1password5 will work with iPhone 5 running iOS8? So if I purchase from iTunes store (looks like you need the pro edition to really work well with the Mac edition). I just then wifi sync new 1password5 on iPhone 5 via wifi with Mac and the info should transfer? Then delete 1password3 from both. Thank you.

    Is there a reason why the 1password software for iOS is not backwards compatible for OS X 1password? Thank you.

    @SZQ56: Correct! 1Password 5 for iOS just requires iOS 8; 1Password 5 for Mac requires Yosemite; and you can use WiFi Sync between the two.

    If you already have all your 1Password data set up on your Mac in version 5, just download and open 1Password 5 on your iPhone, and sync your data over to it as well. Then you can safely remove 1Password 3 from both devices, and you'll be good to go.
