Screen locks on me while using a bluetooth keyboard
Hello, I have a Bluetooth Logitech keyboard/case that I use and love using with my iPad mini.
I have noticed something, however when I am typing a lot on the keyboard in 1Password 5.2.1.
If I'm typing (ack it just happened!) … If I'm typing on the keyboard for a period of time within 1Password, such as a web form like this very one and I don't interact with the touch screen during that time period, 1Password will lock on me. I will lock right in the middle of my typing.
The only way to get it to stop locking (sheesh, happened again) … to get it to not lock is to "wiggle" the screen before the timed lock in 1Password expires.
So, 1Password does not seem to be checking if input is coming into the program via an external Bluetooth keyboard to reset the lock timer as it does when there ("wiggle") is input coming in through the touch screen.
It would be great if this could be addressed as it is most annoying to have your thoughts interrupted as you are typing within 1Password. Especially since my master password is so bloody long.
Cheers, SkipR.

Thanks for taking the time to report this issue to us, SkipR. I've filed a bug on this for our developers to review. Sorry for the frustration!

I haven't used my Bluetooth keyboard for a while, I will check up on this one.

Unfortunately I'm showing this as unresolved on our end, so unless something changed in iOS I imagine the problem still exists. If you do try it out, please let us know how it goes.

This is still happening. It is most frustrating when you are typing in a web form, such as this one, and the 1P app locks on you in the middle of your sentence.
Is there a way that a key is pressed on the keyboard your lock timer gets reset to zero?
Or because you are using a Safari lite as a sort "plug-in" for the web browsing that 1P has no idea what is actually happening in the web view space?0 -
Hi @skippingrock,
I'm sorry this bug isn't yet resolved.
I'm not sure how we're handling the timer in the code or what we need to change to get it to behave as you'd expect. I've added a comment to the bug in our system and will bring it up with our developers; hopefully we'll be able to take a look soon.
Thanks so much for your patience!

Hi @skippingrock!
I just talked to our developers; they've looked into this and we don't have a way to change the way 1Password for iOS's lock timer resets with Bluetooth keyboards due to the APIs and frameworks we have to work with.
Right now the only way to reset the timer is when there's some kind of interaction with the iOS device's screen. I know it's not ideal, but the only workaround is to reach up and tap the screen from time to time.
