Added Fees?
I just got a charge from my bank after I purchased a license for 1password, REf: AGILEBITS INC. 03-18 ON DEBIT CARD INT'L TRAN FEE $0.84.
It Isn't going to break the bank but, what is this doing here? I don't remember seeing this fee on check out although I didn't read all the fine print.
1) why Isn't this spelled out on check out clearly (or was It my error in not seeing It
2) is this a one time fee from my purchase or do I Need to have a conversation with AgileBits about additional charges?
Thanks,

Its part of a bank fee issued for using your debit card for a (Canadian in 1Passwords case) company outside your normal country.
Hazarding a guess its BOA on your end. The very first time I ever purchased 1Password they (BOA) charged me a similar fee. Its not a fee 1Password charges but the card company.
It would not be reoccurring fee and only assessed on transactions you make. I'm my case this was the only time I was ever charged that fee. But since then I have left BOA so I would not have seen it at later times either for other purchases.

OK, I am thinking they should make It clearer. As long as It's a one time charge from my initial purchase, no worries then. Thanks.

Hi @levelbest,
I'm glad thightower was able to help clear up the confusion about that! As he explained, that extra charge is not from AgileBits, it's from your bank/debit card company. Something like that doesn't even appear in our own transactions, and we're not collecting any of it. There's no way for us to know if a customer will be charged a fee from their bank, but we do have the following note at the bottom of our checkout screen:
Note that AgileBits is a Canadian company and some banks elect to charge US customers a small fee for international transactions, even when performed in US currency. This fee is set by the bank but is normally less than one dollar and is collected directly by the bank and not us.
It's definitely a one-time charge because you only made one purchase from our web store. If you have more questions about that extra charge, you'll need to check with the bank from the card used to make the purchase. Sorry I don't have more information than that, but hopefully this helps to explain where that charge came from.

Thanks, I just didn't remember reading all the way down. That does sound familiar so I probably noticed It and forgot. My error, no worries.
