WiFi Sync Issue
I am using 1Password (v5.1) on a Macbook Air (OSX 10.10.2) and the latest version on iOS on an iPad iOS v8.2
Syncing hasn't been working for a number of weeks. in iOS, when I click on the cog/Sync/Start Syncing/Sync using WiFi, the name of my computer does not appear, despite clicking refresh list. Both devices are on the same network.
I have rebooted both devices, tried to sync to Dropbox on the iOS, which would not sync, turned off wifi syncing on the iPad, then back on again, checked the firewall on the Macbook Air - 1Password is allowed. I have only got one vault, the default primary vault
I am fairly sure that in the old versions, 1Password used to tell you how long since the last sync was succesful, which was useful.
What next guys/girls? The FAQs haven't given me an answer.

Using wifi sync with current versions of 1P it does now, for me.
Can you please check both your devices to ensure the relevant OS hasn't secretly renamed your device (for example, by adding something like "(2)" to the name of the device). That can happen and if it does wifi sync won't work.
However, you may possibly have a more significant problem given that you say Dropbox sync won't work either. In that case, if what I've suggested doesn't work, please post again and someone will make further suggestions or ask for more information.

@TempLogin: It sounds like there might be a communication problem on the wifi network itself, since you mentioned restarting your devices did not help them 'see' each other.
This happens to me occasionally, usually in the context of AirPlay between iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, and/or Airport Express. If you have any device that can connect to your router (using Airport Utility if it is from Apple, for instance) to restart it in software, try that first. Failing that, rebooting it using the power switch or just pulling the plug for a minute or so to force a restart will do the trick.
Please let me know your results. I look forward to hearing back from you! :)

Hi Guys
Thanks a lot for the responses.

The computer name is still the same. As is the iPad.

I rebooted the router this morning. Something has changed on my iPad overnight though. The iOS fairies must have visited! The Dropbox sync tried to work and then came up with a message (after asking me which vault I wanted to sync) "1Password will no longer sync because no sync source was found for the profile" (it didn't do this before). I pressed Dismiss, clicked on start syncing, then sync using Wifi. There is still no appearance of the laptop in the list, and refreshing list changes nothing.

OK, I will try a ping between devices. From Network Utility on Macbook Air (MBA) pings iPad OK. Using Mocha Ping Lite on the iPad to ping the MBA's IP - Ah ha! Nothing. OK, ping whole subnet: only finding itself, not the router - very strange as it communicates through the router to get to the net.
Look at firewall settings again. Turn off firewall - pings OK, Start 1Password on iPad (already running on MBA). MBA now found from iOS 1Password. Sync. Sync succesful proved by TEST note typed into 1Password on MBA. Turn on Firewall. Type up Test note 2 on iOS. Sync from iOS. Check 1Password on MBA - yay!! Test Note 2 is visible
Open Mocha Ping Lite on iPad. Ping MBA - pings timeout!
Create TEST note 3 on iPad. Syncs OK to MBA
Well done guys it looks as though we have got to the bottom of it. I thought that these vagaries were limited to Windows PCs!

@TempLogin: Aha! It sounds like it may have been the firewall silently failing for some reason. Very strange!
Your 'Windows' comment hits pretty close to home! I've definitely noticed more of these types of issues cropping up lately on OS X and iOS. Here's hoping we get Snow Yosemite next! The more things change, the more they stay the same I guess. ;)
In any case, I am glad to hear you are up-and-sync'ing again. Be sure to reach out if you need anything else! :chuffed:
