Import from Password Wallet

Just got 1 Password. As a long term user of Password Wallet is there a way I can import from it? There doesn't seem to be a compatible export format from Password Wallet for 1 Password to import....help!

Hi @alangj

1Password can import from a few category types as CSV, and Password Wallet supports only Login entries, so that's good. See the guide entry Importing your data.

You will export as a text file your Password Wallet entries. Then, you'll need a spreadsheet program such as Numbers or LibreOffice's Calc, and use this program to open the file and Export it as CSV. 1Password can then import that CSV file and you will have your data imported.

@alangj: Resident Import Archmage MrC is correct. CSV is a common format that 1Password supports. Most of the difficulty involved in migrating data like this is due to differences in the way different apps organize data.

I really want to migrate from Password Wallet to 1Password as well. Every attempt to import my data has me stymied. I've read all of your support guides, but it just doesn't seem to work. I've exported as .txt, converted to .csv, and even rearranged fields to match those of 1Password exports. 1Password just beeps and nothing is imported.

I have a converter ready for you. This post explains the steps required. You want to grab the 1.04 version from the _testing folder - the link is in the post.
