app purchase first

I had a trial for 1 Password for the Mac last year. I then decided to purchase the app for my Ipad for $8.99. Now, if I wish the program to sync with my Mac it seems that I need to purchase an app for $34.99. What is the most economical solution to this problem?

@smsbach - Since the 1Password applications are sold per-platform, separately on each OS, and since iOS and OS X are different OSes, I'd say you have found your answer yourself. If you want to use it on your Mac, you'll need a separate license for that.
