Creating Second Vault on iPhone, won't allow me to sync?

I'm trying to create a second vault for shared logins on my iPhone 6, but I am having issues creating the vault. Here is what I'm doing...

Settings > Vaults > Add Vault

At this point my only option is to sync with Dropbox. I select that, and choose my account. The screen then says Choose a Vault and shows my current vault greyed out. This is where I get stuck. Do I have to use another Dropbox account for this?

  • Hi @calsonicgtr,

Multiple vaults can be synchronized through a single Dropbox account however currently only our desktop products can create secondary vaults. You would need to use 1Password for Mac or 1Password for Windows to create the vault and sync it to Dropbox. Then you can add it to iOS using the steps you were following.

If you don't have a license for 1Password for Mac or Windows the trial version will do just fine. :)

    Thanks!

@auludag As Ben mentioned, there isn't the ability to add a secondary vault in 1Password 5 for iOS. However the ability to add such functionality has been requested of our developers. No promises if/when this ability may become available, but we are aware of the requests to add this feature.

In the meantime, you can use the desktop version of 1Password to create a secondary vault and sync it via Dropbox, again, as Ben mentioned. ref: OPI-1194
