Extensions (2 questions & suggestions)

1. Why does the extension for safari only show the suggested login? I can't use it to fill in back cards, or do anything else at all. Why not allow the same functionality that exists in the built-in browser? Plus maybe a search field? Sometimes the suggested login isn't the right one.
2. So 3rd party apps need to use the extension API to real support—but why not just write a keyboard extension? There could be a keyboard with search/selection that just enters your info automatically for each field. That way when apps don't use the API there is still something better than copy/paste.

@instanttim: Great questions!

1. We definitely hope to expand the functionality of the extension in the future, but logins are our priority for the time being. We chose to focus on that to begin with since iOS extension support is still in its infancy, and since login is sort of 1Password's 'bread and butter'.
2. This is something we've considered, and it may be that in the future it becomes feasible; however, Apple automatically disables the third party keyboards the moment you go into a secure field: will only allow the stock keyboard. So as it stands, a custom keyboard would have limited use, if any.

But we're definitely thinking along the same lines, I see. I hope this helps shed some light! :)
