Synchronization between MAC and iPAD

I don't understand your problem—although perhaps it has something to do with the versions of 1P that you're running. It certainly doesn't take 11 steps for me. I merely unlock 1P on both Mac and iPad and sync over wifi takes place instantaneously. I'm using 1P for iOS 5.3 and the beta of 1P for Mac 5.3—although it also worked like that when I was using 1P 5.1 for Mac.
I'm very curious to know more about your "11 steps".

@dao what version of 1P are you running on your Mac? What you have to do to make wifi sync work is definitely not normal if you have 1P5 on both your Mac and your iPad. If you tell us what version you're running on your Mac someone will come back with some ideas to get things working properly for you.

Hi Stephen,
On my Mac I have the version 5.1 (510035),
On my iPad version 5.3 Pro.

Hi @dao,
As soon as you tap on Sync Now as you do in step 6 I am returned to the Sync screen of 1Password's settings and it looks a little like this for me
If I then leave Settings altogether I leave Wi-Fi Sync set up to automatically sync each time. What I can't do is follow your steps 7 and 8. Even if I tap on the Sync Service > Wi-Fi line I get a Disable Sync but not a Cancel button Could you possibly show us please what you're seeing on your iPad. You can take screenshots on your iPad by pressing the home and power button at the same time (a very handy feature).
What I can say is you definitely shouldn't be needing this many steps and definitely not each time so once we better understand what you're seeing we'll do our best to help.

I did have the same problem as you, @dao, with a previous version of 1P for iOS (it might have been version 5.0). I was unable to resolve it even given all the help here and eventually I solved the issue by deleting and re-installing 1P for iOS. However, please note that will delete all your 1P data on your phone. If you're going to try that do this first:
- make sure your 1P data on your Mac is completely up to date;
- make a backup of your 1P data on your phone.
All being well, when you delete then re-install 1P for iOS and re-enable wifi sync you should find that sync occurs entirely automatically whenever you have both 1P for Mac and 1P for iOS unlocked. That's what happens for me.
