1P5.3 was certainly released (on both the Mac App Store and the AgileBits store) within the past few days. Is that what you're concerned about?

Hi Stephen,
Actually I don't know, on my mac on right upper corner came the request for an update this morning. I accepted it and then it requested me to open 1 password. That surprised me a bit, and therefore this question. How can I check?

Johannes

I'm not exactly sure what you want to check, sorry. If you accept the 1P update it will close 1P, automatically install the update then open 1P again ready for you to type your master password.
If you go to 1P > About 1Password and it says "1 Password 5 Version 5.3" then you have the latest version.
If you bought your copy of 1P from the AgileBits store (as opposed to from the Mac App Store) you will see, in the top right of the screen, an update notification from AgileBits when an update is available. It may still be in your list of notifications.

Hi @Ziener,
It does sound to me like you've received a notification of a 1Password update. 1Password will occasionally send you these alerts via the Notification Centre. As Stephen suggests, please check your version number of 1Password to ensure that you are up-to-date with the latest version.

HI Megan,
Thanks for your reply! I checked the version and I indeed have the latest one. Would it be possible to put a hotline number/email on your site? I can imagine while your dealing with security that some people have urgent problems that need to be solved.
Thanks again!

Not at this point, but that is something we're working toward.

These forums are the quickest way to get in touch with someone about getting any 1Password problems resolved.
Thanks!
