Trouble upgrading 3.8.22 and later

I keep getting "an error occurred while extracting the archive. please try again." I have several times and no luck.

    First, would you mind giving us a bit more information? It will help us get a sense of where you're at if you could tell us:

    • What version of OS X are you running?
    • What version of 1Password are you upgrading to (4 or 5)?
    • Did you download 1Password from the AgileBits website, or from the Mac App Store?
    • What steps did you take before you encountered this error, and what is the end result you're trying to achieve?

    These answers will point us in the right direction to offer you more specific help. And if you're able to include any screenshots, that may also be useful. Thank you!

    OS X 10.10.2, and the version of 1PW is 3.8.20. I don't know which version these upgrades go with,but I would think 4. Downloaded it from Apple Store, I believe (hubby did it, I think). I basically saw the upgrade and clicked the install update.

  • Hi @sherryinpt,

    To upgrade to 1Password 3.8.22, please try this:

    • Fully quit 1Password
    • Get a fresh copy of 1Password 3 from our downloads page - scroll to the bottom for the 'Legacy' versions
    • Drag this new copy to the /Applications folder and replace the existing one
