Change vault keyboard shortcuts

I've searched the forums but have been unable to find a solution to my dilemma:

The default shortcuts for Vaults (command-#) don't work for me because I have them bound to Mission Control for switching Desktops. Even when 1Password Mini is in the foreground, Mission Control still intercepts these shortcuts (which it should).

Is there any way for me to modify the Vault shortcuts to use something other than command-#?

(1Password 5.3)

    Hi @onetwo,

I would like to apologize for the delay in responding to you here but we experienced a surge in support requests recently. We're doing the best we can to get back to our usual speedy replies as soon as possible.

At this time, it is not possible to change the keyboard shortcuts for vault-switching from within 1Password. However, any option, provided it is a menu option, is easily changed in System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts.

    I hope this helps!

(I've altered my original reply slightly based on updated information)

Thanks for the response, Megan. I have tried modifying the shortcuts within System Preferences but haven't had any luck overriding the 1Password menu shortcuts. I've been using the Desktop switching shortcuts for many years so I'm reluctant to change those. However, it sounds like this might be the only option in this case.

  • Hi @onetwo,

You should be able to modify the vault switching keyboard shortcuts in System Preferences for the main app. I just tried and it seemed to work fine.

However, I don't think you'll be able to modify the shortcuts for 1Password mini.
