Help please..... Having trouble switching to iCloud Drive Sync. I have been using Dropbox Sync. and have all programs updated to latest versions. To switch to iCloud Drive what settings in iPassword do I need to change and how? The Preferences, Sync, Primary vault shows Dropbox. When I try the dropdown menu I do NOT have a iCloud option.

The version direct from AgileBits does not have iCloud sync, due to restrictions by Apple.

Do you feel you need iCloud sync? Many people, including most Agile staff, are happy with Dropbox.

If you insist on iCloud, then you can get a refund from AgileBits provided your purchase is no more than thirty days ago, and then you can buy from the App Store.

@jstimpson I have split your post from the thread in which you posted as it really has little to do with the subject of that thread.

If you look at the AgileBits iCloud FAQ does your setup satisfy the requirements set out there to use iCloud to sync 1P data? In particular, did you buy your copy of 1P5 from the Mac App Store as opposed to from the AgileBits store?

Once we're sure you're set to go someone will give you detailed instructions on the switch.

Having answered your question here I've just discovered you've opened two threads on the same subject and someone else has responded to the other one. Please don't do that: it makes support a challenge and makes it more difficult for you to find answers to your question.

Edit: @jstimpson to minimise confusion I've merged the two threads you started.

    Hi @jstimpson,

It's true, iCloud sync requires the Mac App Store version of 1Password. I checked our sales records for the email address associated with your forum handle, and the latest purchase was in 2013. I'm sorry to say we have no way of transferring AgileBits Store licenses to your Apple ID for use in the Mac App Store, and Apple doesn't give upgrade discounts for existing users like we do, so if you really want iCloud sync at this time, you'll need to pay full price for 1Password 5 in the Mac App Store.

But as @danco mentioned, lots of us find Dropbox to be an excellent sync solution, and you can also use wi-fi to sync a single computer with one or more iOS devices. Hopefully this helps you understand the options. Let us know if you have any other questions. :)
