Disable Autolock?
I'm puzzled why 1P for IOS doesn't include an option to turn off auto locking altogether. My iPad turns off when I close the cover and I have to enter my PIN to turn it back on. I don't see why I have to enter a PIN in 1P too. And I especially don't see why I have to re-enter the PIN if I've been browsing somewhere for an hour and then switch to another web site that requires a log-in. I do see that turning auto locking off introduces some risk. The iPad might fail to to sense the cover being closed or I might simply forget to close the cover before I walk off. But it seems like it ought to be up to me to make the risk vs. convenience decision. Or is there some more subtle hazard than just failing to shut the iPad down that I don't see?
Could you at least add options for longer auto lock times? 12 or 24 hours would work well for me. I wouldn't have to re-enter the PIN during the day but it would auto-lock over night if I forget to close the cover.

Hello,
Thanks for the suggestion! We'll take it into consideration, however we do feel pretty strongly that with the current technology Quick Unlock is safer than relying entirely on the device's unlock security.
I have raised a request to allow longer auto-lock times in the settings. The development team will look at that request when planning new features and enhancements to 1Password.

SVanDee you can go to your iPad settings, general and disable auto lock or disable lock/unlock so when you close the iPad cover it does not lock your iPad.

Thanks for adding that, kunder!

There are lot's of things on the iPad besides 1P that should be protected so I don't want to disable the iPad's auto-locking function. But you prompted me to revisit my iPad's Security settings and I see that I do actually have the iPad's timeout based "Auto-Lock" function turned off. Like 1P, the max timeout is so short it's a nuisance. What I have turned on is the "Lock/Unlock" function that locks the iPad when the cover is closed. But I expect there is a possibility the iPad might fail to sense the cover being closed. So I guess it's just as well 1P doesn't allow auto-locking to be turned off but now I can add the iPad's overall security to my list of things to worry about. Sigh.

We appreciate the feedback. I'm sorry I don't have an immediate solution for you, but hopefully we'll be able to continue to improve in this regard. :)
