App entering then deleting passwords

When I select a login the user name, password and 1 extra field are filled as normal but I message comes from 1Password to save new login or update existing. At the same time, the password and extra fields become blank. Also if I quit 1Password and mini and restart my MAC the mini in Safari does not recognise the app is installed. I have OS X 10.10.3 and 1Password 5.3

Solved the problem myself. There was an extra field I created which was set to type=password. Changing it to type=text helped as well as stopping the app from saving the login each time.

    Hi @PeterSher,

I'm happy to hear you were able to solve the problem with that Login item! Thanks for letting us know the details of how you fixed that.

You also mentioned a problem with the 1Password extension in Safari after restarting your Mac. Does that only happen if you quit 1Password and 1Password mini before restarting? When you get the error in Safari, do you see the 1Password mini icon in the menubar at the top of your Mac? You should normally see the 1Password icon in both your browser's toolbar as well as your Mac's menubar. If 1Password mini isn't running, the browser extension won't be able to communicate with the app. If you're still having a problem with that, please also let us know what you do in order to get it working again. Thanks!
