Wi-Fi Sync not working (no server found on iOS device)

About 2 weeks ago I updated OSX to 10.10.3 and iOS to 8.3. I updated 1Password (I think it was for OSX, not iOS). OSX 1Password version 5.3 from Mac app store. wifi sync stopped working. On iOS sync existing vault / sync using wifi / "refresh list" never finds anything. I uninstalled and reinstalled iOS app from phone, and restarted phone. Today I updated 1Password for iOS to version 5.4. wifi sync still not working.

@beepscore: Are you saying that Wi-Fi Sync stopped working for you after updating 1Password for Mac, not iOS? It also sounds like you are experiencing a different issue entirely, if 1Password is not detecting the Wi-Fi Sync server on the computer. I am splitting this off to a separate thread. I hope you don't mind.
So what we need to do is get back to a situation where the iOS device and Mac can talk to each other again to sync. Please try the following:
- Disable the Wi-Fi Sync server (in 1Password Preferences > Wi-Fi Server)
- Reset device Wi-Fi (both devices)
- Restart OS (both devices)
- Soft-reset router (if possible)
- Hard-reset router
- Reset sync settings (both devices)
- Forget the Wi-Fi network and reconnect
- Disable software firewall (OS or 3rd party — just turning it off and back on again can help in many cases where traffic is being blocked in error)
- Disable security software
- If security or firewall software turns out to be the issue, turning it back on and setting an exception for the traffic may work, provided that is an option.
I hope this helps. Please let me know how it turns out! :)

Thanks for the help!
Thing that fixed problem
I'm using Apple Time Capsule router. On back of router I pressed tiny reset button.
Then on Mac rejoined wifi network.
Now the iOS app can see the 1Password server on the Mac again, and sync via wifi.Things I tried first that didn't fix problem
On Mac and iPhone turned wifi off and on.
"Forgot" network
Turned Mac and iPhone off and on.0 -
@beepscore: No kidding! That's great. I'm glad it's working for you again! :)
In most cases a quick restart of my Time Capsule (or Airport Express) does the trick too...but I'll admit I'm often too lazy to get up, so I do it from the Airport Utility on my Mac or iPhone. ;)
Thanks for sharing what worked for you, since it may help someone else. Cheers! :+1:
