Multiple copies of 1Password
- I’m using 1Password version #: 5.3
- On a (Mac/PC/iOS/Android): Mac
- Syncing with other devices (list them):
Hi, my name is Sally, I'm running Yosemite 10.10.3 on a Mac. I bought & downloaded 1Password from the Agile web store yesterday. On opening 1Password this morning, I got the message "The system launched an incorrect version of 1Password mini". I have checked my downloads and found that I have '1Password.5app' and '1Password-5.zip'. Should I remove the zip file ?.. I would like to sync with icloud my iphone 6plus but haven't worked out how to do that yet...Thank you so much for your help.
Take care Sally. (from Australia)

@Sallz: Ah, sorry for the trouble! I've actually just replied to you in another thread, so I have some excellent advice for your particular situation.
Since you'll be installing the Mac App Store version of 1Password (for iCloud support) you'll need to remove the AgileBits Store version first. Just follow these steps:
- Open 1Password and select 1Password in the menubar.
- While in the menu, hold down the Control key on your keyboard.
- The entry at the bottom should now say Quit 1Password and 1Password mini. Select it.
- Go to your Applications folder and drag 1Password to the Trash.
- Also, you may need to do a Spotlight search to make sure you remove any previous versions of 1Password as well
This will not affect your 1Password data, juts the app itself. And then when you purchase and install 1Password from the Mac App Store you will just have a single version running, and you can continue using your existing vault.
I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions! :)
