Hi,

I recently upgraded to 1Password 5 from 1Password 4. After that I am experience a problem with few logins. For few logins it keeps asking for "Update existing Login in Primary Vault" even if there is no change UserName, Password or URL. It asks the same even if I using 1Password browser plugin to open login, which open the URL and fills Username, Password and submit it automatically.

Following are some of the technical details
Mac - OSX 10.10.3
1Password - 1Password 5 Version 5.3 (530032) Agile Web Store
Browser Chrome - Version 41.0.2272.118 (64-bit)
Browser Plugin - 4.3.1.90

Please let me know if you need any more details.

Thanks,
Dharmarth

    Hi @dharmarth,

Thank you for the details about your setup! I'm sorry you're having trouble with some of your Logins.

Please try manually saving a new Login for one of the sites where you're having this problem. Then try using that new Login item. Are you still asked if you want to update it? If not, you can try the same thing with your other Logins that are having the issue. Or if it doesn't help, can you please let us know the URLs for a few sites where this is happening? Thanks!

Hi @Drew_AG Thanks for follow up. It happens even after saving that as new Login item. I would send you URL in private message.

    Thanks

    Hi @dharmarth,

Thanks, I received the message you sent with the URL. I was able to reproduce the issue quite easily. Our developers are investigating a problem where this can happen for certain sites, so I'll let them know you're also experiencing it.

I'm afraid that means I don't have a solution for you right now, but hopefully our developers will be able to solve this (although I don't have a timeframe at this point). For now, you'll need to dismiss the prompt to save a new login on the sites where that happens. I apologize for the inconvenience! If you need anything else, please let us know.

    Hi @Drew_AG,

I can understand. No worries about timeline. Issue is irritating, but can be lived with it :)

I am happy that issue is reproducible at your end, and developers are aware of the fix.

    Thanks,

    Hi @dharmarth,

Now I don't know the URL in question but if it's only a couple of Logins then does the following help reduce the annoyance while we're fixing it?

When the Update existing Login next pops up click on the little cog in the bottom left hand corner and you will see the following.

If you select the Never Autosave for this site and then proceed to log out and log back in does it stop 1Password popping up the window?

Now there is a downside, if you do genuinely alter the password 1Password won't update but you can manually alter a Login item. That and when we get it fixed you can empty the ignore list from 1Password's preferences in the Browser tab.

I'm just trying to think of anything that might help right now while the devs tackle the issue. If it helps we'd love to know
