Share single password to another platform?

Apologies if I've missed this, didn't see a match in the forums. I have IOS, OSX, Droid, PC. When I try to share a single password via email or text to my son's Android, it just shows as blocks of text. His Android 1password never gets to see it.

Is this possible? Am I doing something wrong?

    Sharing items between platforms is possible. You can read more about how to do it here:

    If you have multiple items to share (or if the items are of a highly sensitive nature), especially if you'd like to keep them up to date between multiple people, sharing a vault is likely the better solution.
