Macbook Pro (OS X 10.9.5)
I have Maverick and don't intend to update to Yosemite any time soon; which means I can't download 1Password from the Mac App Store. I downloaded 1Password 4.4.3 from the AgileBits site. Will I be asked to purchase the product/a license in 30 days? Is version 4.4.3 $49.99? I wanted to purchase 1Password today, but didn't seem to have that option. Also, when I do eventually upgrade to Yosemite, can I update 1Password 5 at no additional cost? Thanks!

All passwords will sync provided you use one of the syncing methods available to you. The web site version which you downloaded will sync via Dropbox and or Wifi. iCloud syncing is not available in the website version. As to the iOS version it will also sync via Dropbox and or WiFi.
Both devices must be configured properly. Which includes using the Dropbox app on the Mac for the keychain syncing.
iCloud syncing would only work provided you were on Yosemite. Since you are on Mavericks iCloud syncing is not an option for you as the current implementation takes use of specific features and services only available in Yosemite.
Yes you will be asked to purchase at the end of your 30 day trial of the website version.

A quick note that versions 4 and 5 have the same license file. So when you want to purchase, just buy the 1PW5 license. And then no additional cost when you upgrade to Yosemite.
After 30 days if you don't purchase, you won't be able to add or edit passwords, but you can continue to use your current passwords.
