Question on 1Password with Apple Watch

If I use 1Password with Apple Watch do I have to have iCloud Drive on on my iPhone 6? Thanks

    Hi @Sparkychess,

    1Password itself does not require iCloud Drive (unless you'd like to sync via iCloud). I'm not aware of any general requirement with Apple Watch that it be enabled, either.

    hi bwoodruff, ok thank you but one question though is 1Password for like when you have passwords on a piece of paper that you don't want to lose and also does 1Password work with Safari on your iPhone? Or how does that work? And does it work with safari on the Mac computer? Sorry I'm new to this!

    Look on 1Password as a secure, private vault for all your personal data. You use it to store confidential login details (site URL, username and password) but a lot more besides (bank account and credit card details, passport and driving licence details, etc.)—all things you need to keep to hand but don't want to leave lying around for others to see.

    does 1Password work with Safari on your iPhone?

    If your iPhone is running iOS 8, yes, in essence. There is a 1P extension, which comes with 1P5 for iOS, which makes 1P work with Safari in iOS.

    And does it work with safari on the Mac computer?

    Yes it does—but bear in mind that 1P for iOS and 1P for Mac are separate products so if you want to use 1P on a Mac and on an iOS device you have to buy both versions (although 1P for iOS is free with an in-app purchase to enable pro features).
