OTP and timezone
Hi
I'm not sure it's a bug, but last week I was in Las Vegas (but I live in France) and my OTP for Amazon Web Services didn't work anymore. It was the only website I was using with 1Password OTP generator, the other OTP used Authy application (exactly like Google Authenticator).
I was wondering if there was a bug base on the timezone update in 1Password for iOS (latest version on iOS 8) and 1Password Mac (latest version also on Yosemite)
Thanks !

Hi @thesilbi,
Thanks for writing in. Timezones shouldn't (in theory) affect OTP. The timestamp that we put into the generator is a UTC timestamp for exactly this reason. Did it work when you switched your timestamp back to France? If you're back in France could you switch your machine's timezone to Las Vegas and see if the issue reproduces for you?
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi @rickfillion
I can try, but I forget to tell you one other thing : the original timezone on my Mac wasn't defined before updating it for LasVegas. When I change my computer's clock, I had to define it to France and then to LasVegas. Maybe this is the main reason of my issue

@thesilbi : shouldn't make much of a difference. But let us know what you find out.
