How can I configure 1Password 5.1 to bypass the need to enter a Master Password on Yosemite OS X?
Thanks.

Other than under the choices offered in 1P5 > Preferences > Security you can't. Why would you want to?

    Personal preference.

One workaround is to make the Master PW ridiculously simple - one digit. However, I've got to say that you're requesting the equivalent of installing a safe for your valuables and leaving the safe door open.

    Hi @schwine,

As Stephen_C mentioned, you can go to 1P5 > Preferences > Security, and uncheck all the Auto-lock options to avoid having to enter the MP very often. Would that help in your case?

At this time, there's no way to completely disable the password protection, or get around it. To echo @Plato's point, having to type in one password is pretty much the point of 1Password. Our goal is to protect your sensitive data.

    I hope this helps! :)

At one time the master password could be stored in the OS keychain, so it id not need to be entered.

I understand that this option was dropped because it led to people not being ablt to remember their password when they needed to.

There were security risks and the possibility of access to the vault being lost should something happen to the keychain. The only solid way to reinforce a good Master Password is to use it repeatedly otherwise you forget it.

@schwine: This decision was given careful consideration before the design decision was made. While there really is no such thing as never, I don't foresee it returning any time soon. I believe with all the Auto-lock options disabled it would be just once a day, much like logging into your Mac. I am assuming you shut your Mac down with that statement. Hopefully that doesn't seem too bad a compromise.
