How do I download 1password onto my new MacBook Pro; I have it on my iPad and MacBook Air

    The IOS app is different than the Mac app. You must purchase the app either from AgileBits web site or through the Mac Apple Store (MAS). The MAS version can sync with your IOS devices via iCloud; the web site version cannot. However, you may find a price advantage with the web site version.

    I was able to find your license information in our system, so it looks like you purchased a license from the AgileBits Store. I had your license info resent to your email in case it helps.

    On your MacBook Pro, you can download 1Password 5 for Mac from our download site, then activate it with your license file.

    which of these comments is correct one says I need a new $50 purchase and the other seems to say I don't

    The responses with the handy little 'AgileBits team member' badges are from the AgileBits team, so Drew's response is your best bet here. I think the earlier response from Plato may have misunderstood that you are already using 1Password on your MacBook. If you already own the Mac version of 1Password, you certainly don't have to re-purchase to install on another Mac.

    I have 1Password that I use on my iPad and iPhone. Do I need repurchase for use my new macbook pro? cannot get this question answered. when you sent me my"license" looks like for Mac

    Hi @ajperk,

    Good news! You don't need to purchase anything new. The license you already have can be used with 1Password 5 on both your Macs: MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, as well as any other computers you have that run OS X.

    Here are the steps you'll need to take to install 1Password on your new MacBook Pro:

    1. Go to this site and click the blue "Download It Now" button near the top: https://agilebits.com/onepassword/mac

    2. Drag 1Password from the Downloads folder to the Applications folder.

    3. In the email we've sent you with your license info, there's a link that says "View the complete installation steps." Click that link.

    4. It will take you to a page with another blue button; click it to download your license file, then follow the steps on that page to apply the downloaded license file to the 1Password app.
