Hi,

I want to sync all my devices to iCloud, but I think I purchased from you directly. Is it possible to receive a credit to repurchase from app store. Do have any suggestions ?

    If you bought 1P5 from AgileBits within the past 30 days you can request a refund to enable you to buy from the Mac App Store. If that applies in your case please let us know and someone will tell you the correct procedure to follow to obtain your refund.

    If you're not sure where you bought 1P5 (and I'm assuming you're referring to 1P5) go to 1P5 > About 1Password and see what it says there.

    Hi Patrick ( @patrickhamilton ),

    Of course, as Stephen says, we're happy to honour our 30 day guarantee and refund your purchase price so you can purchase from the Mac App Store. I took a quick look in our back office records, and I was able to find a license for 1Password 3 that matches the email address you have on your forum profile, but no license for 1Password 5. Now, the upgrade from 1Password 3 to 1Password 4 was a paid upgrade, but 1Password 5 is a free update for all version 4 owners. If you have purchased an upgrade to 1Password 5 recently, please send your purchase information in to our team at support+licenses@agilebits.com. If you don't have your receipt, please include your full name and the email address that you used to purchase the update so that we can get this sorted out for you. :)

    Hi Megan,
    I've just checked and it appears that I did purchase from the app store (see attached screenshot) , but I cannot sync with icloud on the desktop version .... very strange .... any advice you can offer would be greatly appreciated . Also is it possible to upgrade to a family licence ? Thanks in advance.

    @patrickhamilton your screen shot did not come through in your post. However, take a look at this this knowledge base article about troubleshooting iCloud sync issues and see if it helps.

    Also is it possible to upgrade to a family licence ?

    The Mac App Store does not provide specific family licences but you can install 1P5 on any Mac that uses the same Apple ID as the Mac on which you originally bought 1P5—or on any Mac that's part of a family sharing arrangement under OS X Yosemite.

    Please tell us exactly what you see if you go to 1P5 > About 1Password. Although you say:

    it appears that I did purchase from the app store

    we've still not seen your screen shot and I'm starting to wonder if in fact you might have bought from the AgileBits store. If you did, there will not be an option to sync via iCloud.

    If your version of 1P shows it is the Mac App Store version please read on.

    If I search for "iCloud" in the knowledge base these are the results I get. As indicated in the first article to which I linked above:

    1. you need to ensure both your Mac and your iOS devices support iCloud Drive;
    2. you need to enable iCloud on your Mac and your iOS Devices;
    3. if you're told "iCloud is not available" see this knowledge base article.

    Hi @patrickhamilton,

    I'm sorry for the confusion about all this! You mentioned that you don't have an iCloud sync option in 1Password on your Mac, so it sounds like you have the AgileBits Store version of 1Password 5 for Mac installed. You can confirm that by opening the 1Password app and going to the menu for 1Password 5 > About 1Password. Please also take a look at this knowledgebase article: I do not see the option to sync with iCloud in 1Password for Mac

    If you did in fact purchase 1Password 5 for Mac from the Mac App Store, you'll need to launch the Mac App Store and install 1Password from the Purchases section (make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used to purchase it). It should be able to find your data from the AgileBits Store version of 1Password 5 for Mac, but if you need help you can find more information here: Switching to the version of 1Password from the Mac App Store

    If you believe you bought the Mac App Store version but 1Password isn't listed in the Purchases section of the Mac App Store, please send a copy (or screenshot) of your Mac App Store receipt to our team at support+licenses@agilebits.com. Also, please include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we receive your email in our inbox (a short note here once you've sent the email will also help us keep an eye out for it).

    If you have more questions, just let us know. Thanks! :)
