Cannot open attachments saved on 1Password on iMac

I run OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 and 1Password V5.3 (530029)
I saved attachments pdf and Word files onto my Notes and other Folders on 1Password. These files I can again open and view on my iPad running ios 8.3, but alas, cannot open the same attachments in 1 Password on my iMac
I must be doing something wrong. Please assist me

    What happens if you highlight an attachment in 1P5 on the Mac and press the space bar?

    Hi @profwatkins,

    I'm glad @Stephen_C was able to help you out. What you're using when you press the space bar is the Quick Look feature in OS X. To edit the item you would have to drag a copy of the file to your Desktop or Downloads, edit it and then save the altered file back into the item.
