new Macbook 1Password not syncing with iCloud.
Gone through the directions several times but nothing ever happens with syncing. Still shows 0 items. Any suggestions?

Do you recall the version of 1P you are using on your desktop, and from where you bought it (the Mac App Store or the AgileBits store)?
Generally, this knowledge base article may assist (although I accept you may not be able to do much if you're still travelling, of course):

Hi @gentlegianted ,
I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with 1Password right now. As Stephen says, knowing your version numbers could help us narrow things down a bit. I'm also curious which directions you were following that haven't been working for you.
Im also on the road so do not have access to my desktop system.
Am I correct in assuming that your desktop is the system with the most up-to-date passwords? Or do you have another device with you that is properly updated?

You know I believe Im using the latest at home as Im pretty consistent updating. Looks like I downloaded from the App Store not the website. I think it may have to do with iCloud syncing. i have two accounts. But the strange thing is when I logged into the old one nothing synced so that leads me to believe the one at home is the one im using now as it finally synced with my iPad. Ive always had a problem with the iPad showing the latest version or updating to reflect the desktop version. Not just with your software but with Apple calendar syncing as well. I always have to disconnect and reset for some reason. Tried that and its currently syncing with my iPad. When I get home I will verify which iCloud account its hooked into and verify a couple of passwords Ive changed in the past 24 hours. Thanks for your help.

Hi @gentlegianted,
Thanks for the additional information. In this situation it will be easier to troubleshoot the problem one you have access to your Mac at home, but in the meantime you might be able to answer a few questions that will help us understand your setup:
- It sounds like you're syncing (or trying to sync) 1Password on a desktop Mac at home, your new MacBook, and your iPad. Is that correct, and are there any other devices you're trying to sync with 1Password?
- You said you have two iCloud accounts (i.e. Apple IDs) and need to verify which one you're using on your home Mac. Have you checked which Apple ID you're currently using on your MacBook and iPad? Are they both signed into the same one?
- When you said you "Tried that and its currently syncing with my iPad" did you mean you now have all your latest data in 1Password on your iPad? So, that seems to be syncing correctly now?
- You also mentioned you "always have to disconnect and reset" to get the sync working again, can you describe the exact steps you take to do that?
- Have you gone through our Troubleshooting iCloud sync issues guide?
- What versions of Mac OS X and iOS are you running on your Macs and iPad?
- What exact version of 1Password is on your Macs and iPad?
- Are you using the Mac App Store version of 1Password on both Macs?
- Is iCloud sync currently enabled in the sync settings of 1Password on both Macs and your iPad?
- Do you still have 0 items in 1Password on your MacBook, or has that changed?
I know you won't know a few of those details until you can check your Mac at home, but whatever answers you're able to find in the meantime might be helpful. Thanks!

Ans: No the current sync is outdated however its the only data I can get to so Ive been resetting all the passwords hoping this time they continue to sync. I will change my desktop system at home to reflect the current settings when I get back.

Thanks! Are you having any trouble syncing 1Password on your iPhone? You hadn't mentioned it before, but it will help us to know details about that (such as the iOS version on your iPhone, the 1Password version, if iCloud sync is enabled/working on it, etc).
By the way, you don't necessarily have to post a separate message for each piece of information. You can do that if it's easier for you that way, but please also feel free to take your time and gather the details/answers, and list them in the same message. I just don't want you to feel rushed! :)
