What if you do t have your smartphone and need to login to a website?
I'm just warming up to the idea of letting 1P generate PWs for me, But what happens if you don't have a device with 1P with you (you left it at home, you dropped it and it broke, or ran out of juice) and need to login somewhere?.
I concerned about 1P generating an unique and impossible to remember PW for every situation and someday being without access to 1P.
Or even if you have 1P with you, what if you forget your 1P PW so can access your stored data inside 1P?
While writing your own PWs and over using them in multiple locations isn't secure, at least your access info is in your head and you can use any computer or device anywhere. I'm concerned about giving all my access to an application (1P or any PW generator) and then not having access to it and then your digital world.
Is there access without having access to your 1P?
Thanks

You really don't want to do that. :-) It is the "one password" that it's essential to be able to recall. (There may actually be a couple of others you need to be able to recall—like Dropbox for example...see below.)

If you're happy to use Dropbox take a look at 1Password Anywhere.

Hi @shmerls ,
Thanks so much for choosing 1Password to keep your data secure and organized! You're right, it can be a bit of a process learning to trust a program to remember all of your passwords for you.
I hope that Stephen's advice has been helpful. He's right - you do not want to forget your Master Password. For your Master Password (and for any other password that you might feel you need to remember) we recommend using Diceware to create a strong password that is also easy to remember (and type!) You can read more about Diceware on our blog: Towards Better Master Passwords.
If you have any further questions, we're happy to help!
