Password erased at login

Logging in to Amazon won't work through 1Password's browser. I will get to the login page and my username and password are entered but it won't automatically log me in. If I try to manually login my password is erased.

Auto login doesn't work for me either in 1Browser on the Amazon login page, but I do log in successfully from 1Browser if it tap the button to "Login using our secure server."

I am using the 1Password beta. I'm not sure if that's the reason for the difference, but I though I should mention that.

    Hi @trouble,

I apologize for the confusion here. Our developers have made some changes to the brains behind 1Password's app extension recently. Due to these changes, the app extension can no longer auto-submit. So, 1Password will fill your details in, but you'll have to tap that 'log in' button yourself. The behaviour you are seeing is correct. :)

I think we have a bug. 1Password will enter my Amazon password and then erase it before I can click "Login using secure server" (on my desktop) or after I click Login (on my iPhone). In both cases I can't log into Amazon without typing my password, and it's a long one!

    Hi @trouble,

I'm sorry, I missed that last bit of your original post. I've tested here, and I'm unable to reproduce the error that you're seeing.

Now, you mention that you're seeing this both on your desktop and on your iOS device. Let's try Saving a New Login Manually using your desktop, just to see if a new entry behaves any better.

That fixed both of them, plus, my desktop logged in automatically! Thank you!

  • Excellent! Glad to hear saving a new login fixed the issue. That is generally a good first troubleshooting step when running into something like this. :)
