1P iOS extension doesn't always fill in login/password

I was viewing a NYTimes web page from within Tweetbot for iOS v.3.6 and I saw that I wasn't logged in, so I pressed the login button and then invoked the 1P extension, but 1P repeatedly refused to fill in the information. A qui la faute?

  • Hi @odysseus,

Could you please let me know what you mean by refusing to fill? You're offered the login, but selecting it doesn't do anything? If that is the case, have you tried saving a new login for Twitter yet?

    Please let us know.

    Thanks!

    Ben

Right -- I'm offered the login, but selecting it doesn't do anything. It's a login for the NYTimes, not twitter.

  • I see. Does that same login work in 1Browser / Safari?

    Yes.

  • Great. And do other website logins work within Tweetbot? I just had one of my colleagues run a test, and amazon.com's login worked within Tweetbot for her. So, perhaps, we have a difficulty with NYT specifically within Tweetbot.

I'm not entirely sure how that would be possible, but if that is the case that'd be up to our developers to figure out. :)

    Please let me know.

    Thanks!

Doesn't make sense to me either, but that appears to be the case!

  • Thanks for the information!

    We're looking into it.
