Touch ID

I have read some posts about problems with Touch ID. On my iPad Air2, the touch ID works fine. I didn't do anything special to make it work. However my iPhone 6 is a different story. Despite having the Touch ID feature turned on in 1Password, it doesn't work. I have looked on some of the posts and it suggests some other place to turn on Touch ID for specific programs. I can't find any such places to include or omit specific apps.

  • Hi @hymansa,

Have you tried turning touch ID off then back on in the 1Password preferences?

I'm not aware of anything at the OS level, but Touch ID definitely does need to be enabled within the 1Password app for it to work.

    Thanks!

I had tried it but it didn't resolve the problem. Suddenly, however, Touch ID flash screen appeared for 1 Password. I locked it but the Touch ID flash screen did not reappear. I closed 1Password by brushing it off the screen, but still no success at reproducing my one time only ability to log into 1Password with Touch ID. As I said it works on my iPad flawlessly, but not on the Phone.

  • I'd like to ask you to create a Diagnostics Report from your iOS device:

    https://support.1password.com/diagnostics/ios.html

Then attach the entire file to an email to us: support+forum@agilebits.com

Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report in our inbox.

You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here so we can quickly track down the Report and ensure that it is dealt with quickly. :)

Once we see the report we should be able to better assist you. Thanks in advance!
