Password editing on a Mac and syncing to iOS devices.

Is there a way to designate which devices sync to the other? For instance I have 1password on my iphone, ipad and mac. When I make any changes on the ipad or the iphone, the corresponding changes are always applied to the mac but not vice versa. So when I change a password on the mac it does not appear on my ipad. And if I am away from home I then have to reset my password. And I'm not syncing with icloud anymore because I don't trust it. I wish I could but I don't. If someone wants to try and convince me otherwise go ahead. But I would appreciate if the original question doesn't get left unanswered as a result.

    Sync is bi-directional, so the latest item should sync. It's clearly not doing that, for some reason, in your case. In order that someone can fathom why that's not happening please tell us:

    1. the version of 1P for Mac you're using (go to 1P > About 1Password and tell us exactly what it says there);
    2. the version of 1P for iOS that you're using (go to the 1P Settings screen and look towards the bottom for the version number);
    3. how you currently sync your 1P data (Dropbox or wifi—as you say you're not using iCloud).

    Hi @|<!ll,

    I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling a bit frustrated with 1Password right now. As Stephen says, sync should be bi-directional, so your changes should get to your other synced devices, regardless of where you make the changes. If you answer the questions he has asked, we'll be in a much better position to help get you sorted out! Thanks :)

    Okay well, first of all thank you both for responding so fast. That was not expected but it is much appreciated. However it appears to have been a temporary glitch or something. More than likely user error on my part. I'm almost certain because I've never had that problem before. I think my brain took a poop. But I just tested it and any edits I make once again sync up bidirectionally. Also thank you for including the term bidirectional. I knew there was a word for it, I just couldn't find it in the archives.. Probably from all the poop. Thanks again for the quick reply.

    Hi @|<!ll,

    On behalf of Stephen and Megan, you're very welcome! I'm happy to hear the sync seems to be working correctly now. Hopefully it continues to work well for you, but if you do run into more issues, please let us know - we're always happy to help.

    I think my brain took a poop.

    :lol: I feel that way about my own brain sometimes!
