Unable to Open Windows Vault on Mac
I had previously used 1Password on a Lenovo Laptop, and I just recently got a Mac. I have backed up my files from the Lenovo to an external drive, and I am trying to "restore backup" using the directions given online. However, I am not able to chose the Windows file, even though I see it on there (it is graded out, and will not let me select it). How should I proceed next? Thank you very much!

Hi @rucha25amin ,
I'm sorry that you're having trouble getting your 1Password database started on your Mac. 1Password for Windows and 1Password manage backups slightly differently, so we'll need to rename your backup file in order to get your data out. Let's try this:
- Your backup file should end in
_zip
? change that to.zip
. - Unzip the package.
- You'll see a .agilekeychain or a .opvault file inside.
Once we have the .agilekeychain/.opvault file, we'll need to set 1Password up to sync to that file:
- Open 1Password and set up as a new user.
- Give yourself a nice, strong, unique, memorable Master Password.
- In 1Password's preferences, select the 'Sync' option.
- Select 'Folder Sync'.
- Select the location where that .agilekeychain/.opvault file is.
- (You will have to enter the Master Password of that vault in order to set up sync).
Once your database is loaded into 1Password in this manner, you can disable Folder Sync and set up Dropbox or your chosen mode of sync.
Please let me know if you have any questions about this process or hit any snags. :)

That worked! Thank you so much for your help! :)
